Internet Computing Lab
|
Brown University's Internet Computing Laboratory is a state-of-the-art computer lab debuting in early 2004. Developed in conjunction with Brown's Industrial Partners -- including Apple, Sun Microsystems, and Microsoft-- the lab focuses largely on providing students and professors with access to a resource that can simulate situations of Internet scale.
The lab includes Sun Internet Server class machines, over 30 rack-mounted workload servers, and dozens of user terminal machines. Cisco Load Balancers, and configurable network equipment are also implemented for simulating Internet conditions.
