[plt-scheme] reading a whole file

The optical community fusses over reflectivity because a few percent  
lost at every element quickly multiplies into nothingness.  It's a  
good thing programming languages don't work that way; a program that  
uses 3 80% functions would only pass a 50% rule ;)
