Hi,
I would like to verify the way we do this assignment to make sure that
what I am calculating is the same as everyone else.
First of all, to calculate p(t_i = x | t_(i-1) = x && t_i has/has-not
aTM),
is it equal to [# (t_i = x && t_(i-1) = x && t_i has a TM)] / [#
(t_(i-1) =x && t_i has a TM)] ?
Secondly, Matt pointed out that we should count these numbers
story-wise, and then add them over all stories. In other words, we do
not count the case where t_(end) of story_i and t_1 of story_(i+1) both
equal to x, and t_1 has a TM because essentially they are two different
stories, and we do not look for correlation of tenses in two stories. Is
everyone doing this in the same way?
Thanks,
Hoang.
