By my calculations VP-VP-VP is also the most common triple-VP path,
although the others occur much more often than you found.  Here are my
top-5 paths with counts:

11061 VP* SBAR S VP S VP
9283 VP* SBAR S VP SBAR S VP
8471 VP* SBAR S VP VP
8050 VP* S VP VP

This makes me feel iffy about my results, to say the least.  But of
course I *think* I'm doing things right, whatever that's worth.  What
counts are other people seeing?
