Below are a couple links to POS tagging papers. The first is
Ratnaparkhi's.

The second paper is a year old and matches Ratnaparkhi's results with a
less computationally intensive approach, as well as citing other related
work. Section 2 discusses alternative factorizations of the joint
distribution, similar to our discussion today in class.
